14 MARCH - 26 MAY: Call for entries

With permission from the owner, anyone associated with a building or product design can enter. The project must have been completed in the UK in the last two years. Entry is free and you may submit more than one project.

JULY / AUGUST / SEPTEMBER: Judges visit shortlisted buildings

Our elite independent judging panel of professional experts and specialists visit the shortlisted projects in person, making the Wood Awards as meaningful and rigorous a competition as possible.

21 SEPTEMBER: Talking Timber

3-4pm at the London Design Fair

In this lively panel discussion previous Wood Awards winners will explore the role of timber in the UK design world.

Topics covered will range from modern innovations to traditional craftsmanship. Established in 1971, the awards are given for excellence in British architecture and product design, and aim to recognise, encourage and promote outstanding design and installation in the world’s only naturally sustainable material.

Previous Wood Awards winners include Foster + Partners, Arup, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, Benchmark and Katie Walker. Thirty-four projects have been selected for the 2017 shortlist, including projects by dRMM, 6a, Alison Brooks, ercol and Gareth Neal.
